Emily's Surgery

As most of you know, Emily had Trigger thumb surgery today... All went well! She did awesome and was a perfect little angel. Other than going to bed early tonight, you wouldn't have ever known she was under anesthesia with a little tube down her throat having surgery just this morning, unless you saw the cast-like ace wrap on her hand. Here she is before surgery riding around in the pre-op room. Doesn't she look cute with her little gown! We thought so, except for the fact that even though it was such a simple procedure, I do admit to tears in our eyes at the sight of our baby in a hospital gown... She loved it too; it had astronauts and stars and planets, and she DID NOT want to take it off when it was time to leave!
Drowsy on the way home...with old friend Rabbit in her right hand, and new friend, Curious George in her left. You can see her right hand all wrapped up. When we got home we decorated it with Christmas Band-aids!
Here is a video of her entertainment in pre-op. We could hear the nurses saying, "Who is that laughing? Oh, that's Dr. Oswald's little patient!" Then they came to see her and said they wished she could teach all the boys and girls to be so happy before surgery!
