Yesterday was Emily's 4 year well visit, and Parker's 6 month well visit. They both got healthy reports! Emily got 4 shots, and she did AMAZING! I had warned her that her shots were coming, and she actually seemed excited about them. She came up with the idea that if she held a lollipop in her mouth, that she wouldn't cry. I told her it was fine if she cried, but that the lollipop sounded like a great idea. She was right...she put her lollipop in her mouth and not only did she not cry for FOUR shots, but she barely even flinched! Better than I would do! She passed her vision and hearing tests too, and she thought it was great fun that she got to go out of the exam room with the nurse and without mommy for her tests:)
Parker now weighs 17lbs 9.5oz! He was a trooper too; he had to get 2 shots:( Em held his hand and sang to him, and reminded him that when he was older, he could have a lollipop too!
Entertaining herself while we talked about Parker...
6 1/2 months!
Waiting for ice cream at our promised trip to Dairy Queen!
He fell right to sleep after his shots!
